Vision New America’s 2009 Youth Leadership & Civic Engagement (YLCE) Program
For High School, College/Graduate Students and recent Grads! Over 60 Internship Positions Available!

All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply!  No prior experience necessary! We are looking for passionate individuals who are willing to learn more about themselves and their communities.

Vision New America’s Youth Leadership & Civic Engagement (YLCE) Program provides opportunities for young people to get involved and learn more about how government works at different levels by placing students in governmental and policy related offices in the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Washington D.C. Our YLCE Program trains local high school and college students to be leaders in advocacy, policy, and service.

Program Benefits:

1)    Professional/Leadership Trainings (4 quarter units of transferable CSU/UC credits)

2)    Government Internship Experience

3)    Community Event/Project Planning & Implementation Experience

4)    Support throughout program for all interns

* Eligible to apply for $1000 Scholarships upon program completion

* Financial Assistance Available to qualifying interns (up to $450 for enrollment and tuition & up to $300 for transportation costs)
